Brethren Through Bloodshed (Unforeseen Evil book 1) by M.K. Lauren

While wondering through the wilds of the Enchanted Forest a messenger gnome came to me with urgent news of a baby to be born within my fairy clan. Knowing that this would be a long processes I decided to set out to find a book to pass the time while I impatiently awaited the new arrival. Upon returning home to ready my self I found yet another messenger, this time a little blue bird, had come to deliver to me a book that would satisfy my need. This book was titled Brethren Through Bloodshed: Unforeseen Evil by M.K. Lauren.

Cayden, an elven wizard, struggles with accepting who he is and the gifts he has been given. There is a great evil coming to power in the world, and Cayden, with the help of his friends must set out to stop it. Cayden starts his journey in the City of Magic, where he has been studying the art of wizardry. Even there, evil has rooted in those he is meant to trust.

This story is a classic good vs evil, yet author M.K. Lauren makes it uniquely his own. There are many characters to keep track of but through his wonderful use of description the reader is able to identify each one. The main characters are strong and written so vividly it makes you feel as though you have known them for years.

M.K. Lauren's writing style really makes you feel as if you are right there in the story. It is as if you can feel each emotion that the characters are feeling, every moment of action gets your heart pounding, the moments of triumph makes you soar. Over all I would recommend this book to any reader who is looking for an adventure that draws you in.

It was a grand adventure for this sprite, Well done M.K. Lauren, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Until Friday next my mortal readers.
